Mary Louise Gonder, 92, of Interlochen, formerly of Interlochen, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Cherry Hill Haven in Traverse City.  She was born May 29, 1931, in Beaverton, the daughter of Irvin and Alice (Hughes) Wilkinson.

Mary was a longtime resident of Lake Ann and a nurse for 43 years.  She was an active member of Lake Ann United Methodist Church, and she loved tending to the church's flowers.

Mary is survived by: her children, Rev. Daniel Gonder of Interlochen, William Gonder of Interlochen, Rick Gonder of Lago Vista, Texas, and Cindy (Ken) Orzechowski of Grandville; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

On February 1, 1953, in Hartford, Mary married Richard Gonder who preceded her in death on January 25, 2002.  She was also preceded in death by: her parents and her siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 4, 2023, at Lake Ann United Methodist Church, in Lake Ann, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Inland Township Cemetery in Interlochen.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Ann United Methodist Church.
