Mrs. Maxine Ione Flood, age 96, of Hart, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart.  She was born October 23, 1920, in Pentwater to Clayton and Lucy (Campbell) Kauffman.  She was employed as a Teller at Oceana Savings Bank/FMB. Maxine graduated from Hart High School in the Class of 1938. She married James Flood in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Maxine is survived by two sons: Gary (Karla) Flood of Bellville, MI and Tim Flood of Grand Rapids, MI; one brother: Gerald (Marcia) Morley of Mears;  three grandchildren, Karla, Stefanie, Kerri; eight great grandchildren, Austin, Erika, Chloe, Autumn, Jackie, Michaela, Alex, Gabriel; two great great grandsons, Jonathon, Liam. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Flood, grandson, Erik James; sisters, Donna Kauffman and Joyce Morley.

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Flood will be Friday, November 11, 2016, at 1:00 pm at West Golden Wesleyan Church.  Visitation will be Friday from one hour prior to the service at West Golden Wesleyan Church, 2752 North 34th Avenue, Mears, MI.
