Melissa Alicia Garza, of Buckley, was called to heaven on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was born in Mercedes, TX, on October 9, 1971, to Timoteo and Alicia Hernandez.

Melissa moved to Traverse City, MI, and met Domingo Garza who she later married on July 23, 2009, in Traverse City, MI. She loved spending time and making memories with her family and friends. She enjoyed camping, kayaking, bonfires, fishing, and cookouts.

Melissa is survived by: her children, Matthew Rodriguez, Arturo Garza Jr., Alex Garza, Louisa Garza, Ester Garza, and Mayda Garza; six grandchildren, Jaelyn Rodriguez, Brandilynne Wilson, Santiago Wilson, Damien Garza, Kasen Garza, Sebastian Ghering; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Melissa was preceded in death by: her parents, Timoteo Rodriguez Sr. and Alicia H. Rodriguez

In accordance with Melissa's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
