Michael or those who knew him "Mickey" was born May 28, 1939 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Roy & Mildred Johnson. His family relocated to Kentucky for 3 years then settled into Whitehall where he graduated in 1958 with well wishes from teachers and staff.

He honorably served in the US Navy from 1959-1963. After his time in the Navy on a fateful day in 1963 while waiting in line at Sears Mickey met the love of his life Bonnie Lou Idsinga. They were married on October 10, 1964. Shortly after they wedded they relocated to Flint so that Mickey could pursue a job with GM and worked for them for 30 years. Mickey was a warm, generous, funny, quick witted man. He will be deeply missed.

Mickey is survived by his three children, Annette (Jaime) Wisniewski, James (Elizabeth) Johnson, and Nels Johnson; grandchildren, Abby, Lillia, Tommy, Tyler and Zaita; sister, Linnea Hojoiski.

He was preceeded in death by his wife Bonnie.

A celebration of Mickey's life will take place from 11AM-2PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the White Lake Eagles.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Great Lakes Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
