Traverse City, Michigan - Michael John Soper (Mike), 62, passed away October 30,2026.

Mike was born in Detroit, Michigan, April 2, 1964. The son of Gerald Soper and Judith (Jones) Soper. Mike was a lifelong bachelor. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. He liked playing disc golf. He was an avid sports card collector. He loved listening to music, the Beatles were his favorite group.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Judith Soper, and niece Jenny McPherson.

He is survived by 4 siblings, David Soper, Sonora, KY, Christine Maguire, Traverse City, MI, Patricia McPherson, (Edward), Kingsley, MI, and John Soper of Traverse City, MI, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangement are being made by Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel.

In Lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Mike’s favorite charity, St. Judes.
