Mrs. Nancy M. Kiefer, age 63 of Scottville, died Wednesday June 25, 2008. She was born in Muskegon on May 28, 1945 to Glenn A. and Gladys V. (Brandel) Fisher. Nancy married Charles C. Kiefer in Kalamazoo on August 10, 1966. Along with her husband, they own and operate Wiley's General Store in Scottville. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Pentwater, where she sang in choir and was active in many church activities. Nancy also was very active in Girl Scouts and was a longtime Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed many outdoor activities, including gardening and water activities at Pentwater. Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother, always enjoying her children and grandchildren. Mom was always available to lend a listening ear and a shoulder to cry upon, not just to her family, but to anyone who needed it. Friends will always remember her whistling. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles C. Kiefer of Scottville; 3 daughters, Donna M. Miller of Pentwater, Charlotte M. Kiefer and Bethany L. Sherfinski, both of Ludington and Carolyn M. (Jason) Shimel of Ludington; 5 grandchildren, Reese, Jill, Glenn, Simon and Owen; 3 sisters, Theresa Holmstrom of Pentwater, Patsy Woller of Montague and Linda (Calvin) Ackley of Mears; her mother in law, Mrs. Betty J. Kiefer of Pentwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, son in law Douglas Miller and father in law Charles H. Kiefer. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Kiefer will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Centenary United Methodist Church-Pentwater, with Pastor Harris Hoekwater officiating. Interment will be in the Pentwater Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Centenary United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Centenary United Methodist Church.
