Nancy Ruth Nielsen, 77, of Ludington, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City surrounded by her loving family.  She was born May 20, 1947, in Ludington, the daughter of Niels Charles and Ruth (Abair) Nielsen.

Nancy was a graduate of Mason County Central, Scottville, and then attended Muskegon Business School.  She worked at Carrom Industries, West Shore Community College and retired from Martin Marietta.

Nancy was a life member of Victory Trinity Lutheran Church.

Nancy is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, John & Rikki Franklin; her grandson, Alexander; her siblings, James Nielsen of Scottville, Mary (Herb) Buckley of Hart, and Shirley (John) Tanis of Ludington; her sister-in-law, Barbara Nielsen of Ludington; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by: her parents and grandparents; her infant sister, Donna; and her brother, Charles R. Nielsen.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Victory Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Ron Iris officiating.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of services at the church.
