Mrs. Nina M. Ziombkowski, age 87, died Monday, February 11, 2008. She was born June 21, 1920 in Elbridge Township to Charles and Maggie (Bailey) Wabasis. Nina was married to Henry Furman and then later to Leonard Ziombkowski, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Ziombkowski was happy sharing the remaining years of married life with Leonard. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church-Elbridge and the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. Nina is survived by her children, Miranda Boyer of Ypsilanti, Charlie (Chris) Furman of Kent City, Ray (Pat) Furman of Shelby, Nancy (Richard) Kempton of Fremont and Kenneth (Nita) Furman of Grand Rapids; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her husbands, 2 sons, Ron Briggs and Norm Leosh; 1 brother, Henry Wabasis; 1 sister, Mary Fritz. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, February 16, 2008 at One O'clock from St. Gregory Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Schneider, presiding. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Joseph Catholic Church-Elbridge Renovation Fund.
