Norma Jean West, 75, of Hart, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 18, 1942, in Hart, the daughter of Carl and Hilda (Greene) Frees.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Norma loved taking care of and being with her family.  She also loved going shopping, playing cards, solving puzzles, reading, crocheting and going for walks.

Norma is survived by: her children, Douglas Morgan of Elbridge Twp., Dennis Morgan of Hart, Debbie (Tony) Yost of Evart, Donna (Bryan) Griffin of Ludington, Robert West of Hart, and R. Lee (Cindy) West of Elbridge Twp.; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way; 3 brothers, Jerry Frees of Indiana, Lloyd Frees of Hart and Richard (Virginia) Frees of Hart; 2 sisters, Sharon (Ralph) Prowart of North Carolina; and Kate (Jim) Wilson of Ludington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by: her son, Daniel Morgan; 2 grandsons, Dennis Lee Morgan Jr. and Steven Lee West; her brother, Carl Frees Jr.; and her sister, Nancy Morgan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, 309 S. Washington Ave., Ludington, with Pastor Ryan Beilfuss officiating.  Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 PM, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
