Norman James White, 84, of Ludington, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington.  He was born December 19, 1934, in Buffalo, New York, the son of Ford and Evelyn (Bowers) White.

Norman honorably served his country in the US NAVY during the Korean Conflict.  Afterwards he attended Michigan State University, earning his Bachelor's Degree in 1959.  Norman went on to study law at the University of Michigan, graduating in 1962.  He was proud to have been a practicing attorney for over 50 years, 4 of which included serving as the Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney, followed by over 40 years of private practice in Ludington.  In addition to practicing law, Norman enjoyed the summers he was involved with managing Ludington's Cartier Park.  In his spare time, he loved to brilliantly play the piano, watch sports (especially the Gus Macker), ride his bike, and keep up his yard.

Norman is survived by: his wife, Mary Ann Neal; his children, Norman (Jan) White Jr. of Ludington, Joseph (Elaine) White of Holland, Jennifer (Ken) Petterson of Traverse City, Jeff (Jean) White of Ludington, Lisa (Mark) Stavropoulos of Denver, Colorado, and Ford (Nichole) White of Salt Lake City, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; his brother, Ford White II of Springfield, MO; sister-in-law, Mary White of Buffalo, New York; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Daniel White and David White.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
