Mr. Norvil Don Baisden Sr. of Pentwater, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007. He was born on March 3, 1927 in Logan County, WV, to Allen and Marietta (Duty) Baisden. He had been a long time resident of Gilbert, WV and Taylor, MI. Mr. Baisden served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a press operator at General Motors until his retirement. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Baisden is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Joan (Dotson) Baisden of Pentwater; their seven children, Don Baisden Jr. of Pentwater, MI, Darlene & Bill Kirk of Mears, MI, Diane & Bill Perkins of Williamson, WV, Bobby & Debbie Baisden of Hoenwald, TN, Krista & Lee Adkins of Sidney, MI, Rodney & Christine Baisden of Manchester, MI, Steven and Ronda Baisden of Pentwater, MI; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; his brother, Robert Baisden; his sister, Loretta Savage. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Arlie, Orville, Charlie, and Vernon, fours sisters, Loraine Baisden, Rosie Maynard, Lily Dotson, and Pearl Cooper. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 16, 2007 at 3:00 PM from the Tate-King Funeral Home, with Holger Neubauer officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Manchester, MI on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Tate-King Funeral Home.
