Mr. Walter Olahnovich, age 99, died Friday, March 28, 2008. He was born in Latvia on July 6, 1908. Walter married the former Frances Szczepanski on November 25, 1933 in Chicago. He was employed as a machinist at International Harvester until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church-Pentwater. Walter is survived by his children, Ronald Olahnovich of Willow Springs, IL and Walene (Edward) Pieske of Oaklawn, IL; three grandchildren, Edward, Paul and Gary. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances on October 3, 1992. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Vincent Catholic Church with Fr. Anton Tran presiding. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Pentwater Senior Center.
