Pastor Lorraine Carol Boucon, age 75, of Hart, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. She was born May 29, 1938, in Aurora, Illinois to Wayne and Lillian (Robb) Traver. She married Gordon L. Boucon on June 21, 1958, in Aurora. They were married fifty-two years before his passing on March 7, 2011. Lorraine graduated from Aurora College with a Bachelor's Degree and from Western Theological Seminary in Holland. She was ordained on November 11, 2012, and was the pastor at Hart Congregational United Church of Christ for the last fifteen years.
Lorraine is survived by her four children, Wayne Leo (Jeannette) Boucon, Paul Jonathan Boucon, Philip Gordon (Sue) Boucon, and Sarah Jane (John) Zielinski; six grandchildren, Tiffany Boucon, Ethan Boucon, Alex Woellhaf, Sebastian Woellhaf, Matthew Boucon and Stephen Boucon; her mother, Lillian Traver; one brother, Richard (Pat) Traver; and two sisters, Marilyn LeVasseur and Barbara Magee. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, and her in-laws, Leo and Sally Boucon.
The Funeral Service for Rev. Boucon will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Hart Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Ruth D. Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. at King Funeral Home.
