Patricia Ann O'Neill, 85, of Traverse City, Michigan, entered into her eternal life on October 2, 2022, at 6:57 AM with family by her side. She was born on March 22, 1937, to the late Waldo R. and Ruth E. Bair in Morenci, Michigan.

Upon graduation from Morenci High School in 1955, she attended three years at the Art Institute of Chicago. Pat worked for Kewaunee Manufacturing in Adrian as an office secretary. She married Herb O'Neill, Jr. in 1959. They resided in Hudson, Michigan, for 40+ years, wintered in Arizona after raising their children, and even spent a few summers as camp hosts in Flagstaff, Arizona, at Ashurst Lake.

In the early years, Pat worked alongside her husband Herb in Hudson, Michigan, running Herb O'Neill Used Cars and Panda Service Station, as well as Kay's Restaurant with her mother-in-law. All while raising her four surviving children, she kept very busy owning and operating a ceramics studio, teaching classes, and was a Cub Scout den mother. She loved her arts and was a talented artist and painter. She was a member of the American Legion. She took classes at Lenawee Vo-tec for drafting. Pat worked in her later years at Mannheim Auto Auction and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Good Year, Arizona.

Her hobbies included reading, puzzles, needle work, crocheting, and knitting. She made many afghans and hats for charities and for those she loved. She had a passion for music, singing, and had a quick, delightful sense of humor and always had a story to tell.

Her greatest accomplishment in her life was her family. She loved deeply and fiercely; those who knew her were blessed by her loyalty and friendship.

Pat is survived by three children: Michael H. O'Neill of Alvordton, Ohio; Valerie O'Neill of Flat Rock, Michigan; Vicki (Duane) Amato of Suttons Bay, Michigan; Daughter-in-law, Patty (Kip) O'Neill of Coldwater, Michigan; two sisters: Betty Payne and Bonnie Welden; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, with one great-great-granddaughter expected in January.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Herb in 2004; sons Kip P. O'Neill and Mark L. O'Neill; and her brother Max Bair.

A memorial service will be held for Patricia on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Community Church in Williamsburg, Michigan.
