Patrick “Pat” W. Adams, age 75, of Rockford, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Pat was born on April 12, 1951, in Sturgis, MI, the only child of the late Arthur and Edith (Notestine) Adams. He began working at the age of 16 for Nehi Royal Crown Cola in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis High School in 1969. In 1970, he married his beloved wife, Kathryn. The following year, he transferred to RC Cola in Grand Rapids, MI, where he dedicated nearly 20 years of service until the company was sold and the plant ultimately closed.

Committed to lifelong learning, Pat later earned an associate degree in Data Entry from Davenport University and worked in a variety of positions, consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic, before faithfully serving for 19 years as a custodian at Rockford Baptist Church (RBC).

He was a dedicated member of RBC, where he faithfully served for many years and built lasting friendships. His steady presence, servant’s heart, and willingness to help wherever needed left a meaningful and lasting impact on all who knew him.

Pat was best known for his strong faith in God and his deep commitment to his family, especially the enduring love he shared with his beloved wife. Though a man of large stature, he was gentle at heart and will be remembered for his warm hugs and the joy he found in simply being with those he loved. His marriage, grounded in loyalty and unwavering support, was a beautiful example to all who knew them. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren—the light of his life—and cherished life’s simple pleasures, always happiest when surrounded by those he loved most.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathryn (Yeatter) Adams of Rockford, MI; his children, Jeffrey (Heather Dickinson) Adams of Grand Rapids, MI, and Cristie (Brian) Adams Lesley of Cedar Springs, MI; his grandchildren, Aaron (Danielle Poll) Adams of Grandville, MI, and Ashleigh and Cristian Leggett of Cedar Springs, MI; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Pat will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rockford Baptist Church, 221 Courtland Street, Rockford, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at the church, with an additional visitation held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Courtland Township Cemetery.
