Paul John Ahnefeldt, 65, (Bear) of Montague, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. Paul was born on September 14, 1953 to John and Jean Ahnefeldt.
Paul was blessed with one daughter in his life. He worked several different jobs and retired from ALCOA in Whitehall. He was the owner and founder of Bearfest. He enjoyed music, sports-- especially bowling and football--traveling, the beach, and being outdoors. He was a loyal, adventurous, jokester with a compassionate heart. He will be deeply missed.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Amy (Gilbert) Flores; grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Bradford and Ricky Flores; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Rayleigh; brother, John Ahnefeldt; sister, Barbara Grow; his beloved dog, Mister; and significant other, Linda Alexander.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and sister, Nancy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 12, 2018, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service-White Lake Chapel, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall, with Rev. Kenneth Babcock officiating. Visitation will take place Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 2-4PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to go to Bearfest, something Paul was very passionate about. Checks are asked to be made to his daughter Amy Flores.
