In Loving Memory of Paul Pladies

January 29, 1963 – October 13, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Pladies on October 13, 2026, at the age of 63, following a long and difficult battle with cancer.

Paul leaves behind his beloved wife, Phylinda, and his children: daughters Alicia, Ashley (Jermese) Hutcherson, and Christy (Zarren) Aylor; and sons Jamaal (Erin) Jackson Grau, Bryan (Ameilia) Jackson Grau, Sam, and Hunter. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, who will carry his memory forward for generations to come.

Paul was a devoted husband, father who knew the importance of family. He built a life filled with connections, shared experiences, and memories that will continue to live on through his children and grandchildren.

Paul also dedicated much of his time to working with youth in his community through football and softball, coaching and refereeing. He will be remembered by the many lives he touched sharing his knowledge, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit with younger generations.

Paul leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and experiences shared with his family, friends, and community.

He spent his remaining years pridefully exploring the United States with his best friend, his wife, Phylinda by his side. Experiencing life from the mountain tops to ocean waves to the streets of New Orleans. He fulfilled his life with adventure, dedication, and a legacy that spoke to everyone "Never give up. Go for the win!"

As family and friends mourn his passing, they are grateful for the time they shared with him and the memories that will always remain.

Memorial services will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Ave, Whitehall, MI 49461, with visitation starting at 5:00 PM until time of service.
