IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peggy Luanne
Clark
June 11, 1952 – March 9, 2023
We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Peggy. She lost her 3 rd battle to cancer on March 9, 2023. Her family was the apple of her eye. They will miss her for eternity.
Peggy was born June 11, 1952, to Ken & Irene Spafford of Frankfort. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School. She met the love of her life during her high school years. It was a chance meeting. Marvin was from Traverse City. Their paths crossed in Frankfort at the perfect moment. It was love at first site and a love that lasted for 54 years.
Peggy worked hard her entire life. She worked side-by-side with her husband when they owned Long Lake Disposal. She was an election official for Long Lake Township and most notably, a hardworking farmer for over 30 years at Clark's Family Farm. She painted pumpkins and made the most beautiful Christmas wreaths. She was a talented lady. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed winter RV trips with her husband, looking for agates on Lake Superior, spending time at their cabin on the St. Mary's River, and her flower garden. She was a lover of Mother Nature; animals & birds, sunsets, starry skies & gazing at the moon. She loved attending her granddaughter's softball games. She was so proud of them & couldn't wait until their next game.
Peggy was preceded in death by her mom & dad, brother Steven & brother David. She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin, Son Jason (Tammy), Daughter Kristy & Son Ben, granddaughters Katelyn & Brittany Steimel, Brother Al (Helen), and Sister Nancy.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
If you would like to donate in her memory, please consider a donation to the Traverse City Humane Society, 1750 Ahlberg Road, Traverse City, Michigan 49696.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverses City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
