IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peggy Sue
Lohse
February 5, 1952 – November 9, 2024
Peggy Sue Lohse, 72, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Ludington, Michigan.
She was born in Ludington and spent her early years living there with her family, where she was the oldest of 7 children. In her early 20's she left Ludington and moved to Palatine, IL. Family vacations were only to Ludington, the place she loved so much. She always wanted to move back to Ludington and did so in 2002.
She wanted to be back in Michigan to be closer to family and to enjoy all the beauty of Ludington - the beaches, the sunsets, the lighthouses, the state park.
Peggy had a love for baking. She always volunteered to make the dessert for family gatherings and would give Christmas cookies away as gifts. On any given December day all counterspace would be filled with decorated cookies! Her gift of baking has been passed on to the family and her spirit will live on through this gift for generations to come.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Berggren and her mother, Sally Teague (Tommy).
She is survived by her daughters: Michelle Renee Patrick and Rhonda Lohse Cetera (Mark), her 8 siblings: Carl Berggren (Debbie), Randy Rees (Pamela), Larry Rees (Kathy), Lorena Rees Killebrew (John), Patricia Rees Leafstrand (Tom), Douglas Rees (Debbie), Karen Berggren, Kristine Nichols, her 4 granddaughters: Scarlet Burch, Tambrea Sumner, Morgan Cetera and Riley Cetera, her 4 great-grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
