Peggy Lou Wagner, 89 of Whitehall, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019. She was born on February 2, 1930, in Muskegon, the daughter of Clifford and Evelyn Mangleson.

Peggy married Ernest Wagner on July 23, 1955. Together they were blessed with two children and 43 years of marriage until his death in 1999. Peggy worked as a school teacher at Whitehall Elementary. She enjoyed visiting with people, doing crafts, and watching Michigan State football and basketball. She was a kind and generous person who touch many lives.

Peggy is survived by: her children, Scott (Sherri) Wagner and Debra (Richard) Varela; grandchildren, Renee Varela, Rebecca Varela, Richard Varela, Wes Hope, and Summer Hope.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2020, at Oakhurst Cemetery in Whitehall.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society and Animal Rescue of Muskegon County.
