Peter Paul Mazurek, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2024.  Pete was born on November 10, 1953, in Ludington, the son of Felix and Maxine (Renwick) Monchunski. He was adopted by his parents, Samuel and Carolyn (Monchunski) Mazurek in 1956. Pete attended St. Mary's and Mason County Central Schools and completed his education at Davenport University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.

Pete enjoyed playing pool, hunting, and cooking. He was known for his sausage making and his sausage and sauerkraut was a mainstay at family gatherings.

He is survived by: his daughter, Jody Mazurek (David Lockhart); grandchildren, Justin Morse and Krysta Campbell; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Journee; his sisters, Phyllis Maurer and Cathy Becker; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pete was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Ray; his sister, Peg; and his infant grandson, Nicolas.

In accordance with Pete's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Park Meadows Mobile Home Park Community Center, 210 Giles Road, Muskegon, MI 49445.
