Obituary

Philip D. Ceton, 81, was called home by our Lord on January 18, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Phil graduated from Central High School in Grand Rapids, then Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. After honorably serving in the U.S. Navy Phil started his business career in printing.

Phil was the consummate sailor, and loved Lake Michigan.  He was Commodore several times at Anchorage Marina Yacht Club in Holland, Michigan, where he was co-creator of the Anchorage Cup Race and participated in many racing events and sailing trips.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Gerritt and Lillian Ceton, and by his brother, Daniel Ceton. Phil is survived by his partner/caregiver, Nancy Ceton, stepson, David Landstra, sister, Karen (Bob) Ney, and brother, Paul (Connie) Ceton, plus several nieces and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, in Pentwater, with the Reverend Mark Lillie officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
