Philis Darlene Gardner, 73, of Buckley, died Saturday, February 26, 2022, at home with her family by her side.  She was born April 29, 1948, in Gaylord, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Weese) Traylor Sr.

Philis enjoyed the outdoors and all Northern Michigan had to offer.  She could often be found tending to her gardens, cooking or hunting (especially Morels).  Philis was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She devoted her life to making sure her loved ones were cared for.  She was the rock of her family, and she will be forever missed.

Philis is survived by: her children, Joe (Denice) Traylor Jr. of Buckley, Thomas (Kymberly) Traylor of Buckley, Angela (John) Saier of Buckley, Richard Gardner Jr., of South Carolina; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepchildren, brothers, sisters, etc.

Philis was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Richard Gardner Sr.; and a brother-in-law.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at The Tabernacle Church, in Buckley, with Pastor John Williams officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or to the American Kidney Fund.
