Phillip "Dick" Richard Johnson, 73, of Montague, passed away August 16, 2022. He was born May 6, 1949, in Muskegon, the son of William and Vida (West) Johnson.

Dick graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1967. He owned and operated his own tool and die business, Johnson Tool, out of Montague for 35 years. Dick was known as a creative man, he enjoyed using his creativity and working with his hands to craft beautiful things. Dick also enjoyed spending his time outdoors, gardening, fishing, and golfing.

Dick is survived by: his children, Kelly Johnson, Keri Johnson, Kevin Johnson, and Kyle (Aaron Banfill) Johnson; brothers, Louie Johnson, Bruce Johnson, and Sid Johnson; sisters, Diane (Ron) Topping, Cindy Johnson-Machin, and Donna (Verne) Jensen; and grandchildren, Blake Johnson and Natalie Holmstrom.

Dick was preceded in death by: his sisters, Judy Holcomb, Dolly Remwolt, and Linda Batson; and brother-in-law, Ray Batson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date that is to be determined.
