IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis Maxine
Dubay
July 7, 1925 – August 25, 2022
Phyllis Maxine Pietsch Dubay, 97, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022. Phyllis was born in Muskegon on July 7, 1925, to Carl and Bessie Rasmussen.
Phyllis attended Muskegon Public School and was a proud Big Red her entire life. Phyllis married Paul J. Pietsch in June of 1946, when they were blessed with two daughters. Phyllis worked as an administrative assistant for Sealed Power Pro Gas, and Vining Sales; however, she believed her most important job was raising her daughters. While her family was always her first priority, Phyllis enjoyed her cottage on Chrystal Lake, Detroit Tigers baseball, the Whitehall Vikings, vacations on Portage Lake, U.S. 31 barbeques, occidental hotel sundaes and her dog Josh. Phyllis' adventures spanned from a trip to Alaska, to vacations in Iceland and Ireland with her granddaughter, Chastity. She was very much her grandson's cheerleader, having followed Derek's speed skating career joyfully. Phyllis was a caring and loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
Phyllis is survived by: her daughters, Paulette (Mike) Enright and Nanette (Dan) Gray; grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband, Larrs, Shawn, Chastity, Amanda, Derek and his wife, Kathy, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Sasha, Bella, Nick, Sawyer, Luciana, Garrett, and Remington; sister-in-law, Barb Rasmussen and Suzanne Hollern; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Carl and Bessie Rasmussen; husbands, Paul Pietsch, and James Dubay; brothers, Cecil Rasmussen and Ken Rasmussen; and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis' family would like to extend their gratitude to Bush Creek Manor of Whitehall for their love and care over the past three years.
In accordance with Phyllis' wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
