Mrs. Phyllis M. Miller, age 87, of Hart died Friday, August 3, 2007. She was born in Crystal Township on December 23, 1919 to Lindon and Ida (Conkle) Cole. Mrs. Miller attended Hart High School and worked as a Dental assistant in the Hart area for over 40 years. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Hart, United Methodist Women, Hart Historical Society and the Council on Aging. She married Joseph Chester Miller in Iowa in 1938 and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children; sons, Gerald (Linda) Miller of Whitehall, Joseph C. (Pearl) Miller Jr. of Ludington and David Allen (Debra) Miller of Swartz Creek, MI. daughter, Maureen Kay (John Huizing) of Hart; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Genevieve Dillingham of Hart, Lucille Howe of Kentwood, Mi and Ruth Ellen (Bob) Parth of Oscoda, MI; brother, Kenneth (Cheri) Cain of Muskegon; sister-in-law Ann Miller of Hart; many nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by grandsons, Andrew Joseph Miller and Jeffery Wayne Miller; brothers, Raymond, Gordon and Wallace Cole; sisters Geraldine VanArmen and Leone Cole. The funeral service for Mrs Miller will be Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Hart United Methodist Church with Pastor Ben Lester presiding. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hart United Methodist Church.
