Priscilla Ann Thompson, an amazing woman who was so devoted to her family and friends, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Her love and compassion for others was evident through her work as a nurse at the Osteopathic Hospital and as a teacher's aide at TBA.
Priscilla was born in January 1935 to Harold and Marion Walkley in Frankfort, the fourth of ten children. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Thompson, for almost 58 years until his passing.
She was a dedicated Air Force wife, going from Columbus, Ohio to East Tawas and Traverse City. She was a loving mother to a son and daughter, and a doting grandmother to grandkids and great-grandkids.
Priscilla enjoyed playing euchre, pinochle, dominos, and her favorite game, Scrabble, with family and friends or whoever wanted to challenge her to a game. She loved to travel with Don to visit family up and down the East Coast. She'd tell everyone that her favorite memories of her grandkids were when they'd spend the night and put on "talent shows" for her and their Papa. And her grandkids would tell you their fondest memories include singing "Lovely Bunch of Coconuts," breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast with raspberry freezer jam, and special bedtime prayers.
Priscilla will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be so dearly missed, but comfort can be found in the knowledge that she has been reunited with her partner in life.
Private services will be held.
