Obituary

Randell L. Potzger, 80, has joined his Lord and Savior.  He passed away at Bay Ridge Assisted Living, Monday, April 3, 2023.  He was born January 12, 1943, in Bay City, Michigan, to Martin and Emma (Peg) Potzger.

Randy honorably served in the Michigan Army National Guard.  He was a real estate broker in the Grand Traverse area for many years.  He loved to travel and had spent much time in the wilderness North of us in Canada with many trips to Europe, visiting France, Germany, Belgium, and Italy; Paris was his favorite destination.  For a number of years, he hosted over 15 foreign exchange students from around the world and treasured the times he spent with them, both at his home and visits with their families abroad.

Randy was involved in Junior Achievement of the Grand Traverse Area for many years as an advisor and long-term board member.  Randy had a standing date on Thursday to play Bridge with his friends.

Randy is survived by: his sister, Marti Paula Stabnau and her husband Paul; nephew, David (Michelle) Stabnau; great nephews, Mike & Raymond Stabnau; and his furry friend, Louise.

Randy had numerous dear friends around the world and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Ridge and Hospice of Michigan for the wonderful care they provided.

Per Randy's request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral or memorial services.

Memorial contributions in Randy's name may be directed to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
