Mr. Raymond C. Kokx, age 92, died Saturday, August 4, 2007. He was born in Hart on December 15, 1914 to Charles and Stella (Claeys) Kokx. Mr. Kokx was a graduate of Hart High School and had two years of education at Michigan State University. On November 4, 1944 he married the former Doris Schaner, who preceded him in death on May 15, 1955. He then married Maxine Claeys on March 31, 1971, who also preceded him in death on March 14, 2002. Mr. Schaner was a farmer, raising beef and dairy cattle and fruit and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Hart Eagles. Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman. His father, Charles Kokx began the REA in Hart and their family was the first in Oceana County to have electrical service.He is survived by his children, Bonnie (Mike) Villadsen of Pentwater, Joe Kokx of Hart, Margie (Dave) Cozart of Pentwater and Judy (Ron) Lundberg of Mason County. Six grandchildren, Helen Alvesteffer, Lester Villadsen, Stacy Kokx, Kendra Cozart, Evan Cozart and Phillip Lundberg. Two great grandchildren, Aaron and Andre Alvesteffer. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Louise Kokx. The Graveside Service for Mr. Kokx will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Mount Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Anton Tran officiating. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or for Masses.
