Ms. Rebecca 'Becky' Jean (Perkins) Clabuesch, age 65, of Mears, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015. She was born December 26, 1949, in Greenville to Harry and Janice (Schrader) Perkins. She was employed at the Oceana County Intermediate School District as a Speech Pathologist, until her retirement in 2000. Becky was a graduate of Belding High School and Central Michigan University obtaining her Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
She was a lover of horses and owned her own horse named "Dollar". Becky was also active at Pentwater Artisan Center crafting jewelry. She was a wonderful Grammy, not just to her own, but to anyone. Becky also enjoyed cooking and is remembered by her famous stuffed peppers. Being a very social person, she loved to entertain family and friends with dinner parties and had a great sense of humor. Most of all, she will be remembered as a nurturing mother to lots of special people.
Rebecca is survived by one daughter: Sarah (Nicholas) Haag of Sebewaing, MI and one son: Eric (Annie) Clabuesch of Comstock Park, MI; four grandchildren, Gavin and Carter Clabuesch, Dominic and Nichole Haag; one sister: Holly (Fred Goldberg) Perkins of Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The Private Graveside Service for Rebecca will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby. There will be a reception for family and friends held at the Comfort Inn, 2248 N. Comfort Drive, Hart, MI on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 1-4 pm. The family requests that any memorials be directed to the SPLKA, PO Box 673, Ludington, MI 49431 with 'Becky Perkins' noted on the memo line, (SPLKA is the Sable Point Lighthouse Keepers Association).
