Rena Mary Dee Kowalski, 72, of Montague, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 8, 1944, in Muskegon.

Rena loved being outdoors where she was able to enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, archery and muzzle-loading.  She especially loved feeding the wildlife, especially the deer and turkeys that came right up to her porch.  Rena also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and riding motorcycles.  Most of all, Rena loved spending time with and taking care of her family.

Rena is survived by: her husband, Robert Kowalski; 8 children, Karrie Twork of Conklin, Ronnie Kowalski of Oregon, Jon (Joy) Crane of Montague, Lonnie (Julie) Kowalski of Oregon, Michael (Jill) Crane of Hart, Charla Pachmayr of Oregon, Russell (Shelly) Kowalski of Muskegon and Dondi Kowalski of Montague; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Arden Anderson of Whitehall.

Rena was preceded in death by her brother, Ervin Anderson.

Cremation had taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, in Whitehall, is in charge of arrangements.
