Richard Steven Bedran, 91, of Hart, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was born January 16, 1932, in Chicago, the son of the late Steven and Marie (Colvric) Bedran.

Richard proudly served his country in the US Army from 1950 – 1952. He then was employed with the Chicago Police Department, retiring as a Homicide Detective with 34 years of service.

Richard is survived by: his sons, Dale Bedran and David (Diane) Bedran; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marian and Georgia.

Richard married Phyllis (Nawrocki) Bedran on June 19, 1954, and she preceded him him in death on June 9, 2015. He was also preceded in death by: his daughter-in-law, Patti Bedran; and grandson, James Bedran.

In accordance with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
