Richard Canniff, 63, of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Richard was born on July 1, 1954 to Robert and Mary Canniff.

In 1972 Richard married Shelley Johnson. Together they were blessed with 45 years of marriage and 2 children. Richard worked for Riceland Foods in Arkansas for many years. In 1999 his family relocated to West Michigan where Richard found work at Herman Miller. He enjoyed cross-stitching, camping, traveling to Arkansas and his cats. He was a hard-working, loving, strong man with a contagious smile. He will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by: his wife, Shelley; children Rich (Sheri) Canniff and Stacy (Mark Ebert) Julian; grandchildren, Marcey, Joseph, Kaitlynn ,Nicole, Lexy; brothers, Bill and Dwayne (Cindy) Clingan; sisters, Beth Shirley, Sandy Cullipher, Gwenda (Dan) Williams, Angela Motz and Tami Reardon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service-White Lake Chapel 413 S. Mears Ave. Whitehall MI. with Pastor John Brooks officiating. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
