Richard John Christians, 79, of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He was born March 23, 1942, in Elmira, New York, the son of John and Maude Christians.

Richard was a member of Calvary Church, in Grand Rapids, and enjoyed attending Worship on Wednesday with the Go Getters and his friends.

Richard is survived by: his brother, Ronald Christians; niece, Debbie Gigowski; nephews, Robert (Darlene) Johnson, Jeff (Tamara) Christians, and James (Angie) Christians; and brother-in-law, Charles (Belinda) Johnson.

Richard was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Judy Johnson; and sister-in-law, Betty Christians.

The family would like to thank the staff at SKLD - Beltline, and Mercy Health - St. Mary's Hospital, for the special care given to Richard.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Fairplains Cemetery, 1105 Knapp Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
