Richard "Larry" Lawrence McLouth, 85, of Montague, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017. Larry was born on May 4, 1932 to Edward and Dorothy McLouth. He was one of 10 children.
Larry married the former Mary Alexander on December 11, 1971. He had 6 children of his own and Mary had 5. Together their families became one. He worked at Dupont Chemical for many years as a chemical operator until his retirement in 1990. Larry was a member of Montague United Methodist Church. He also was one of the founders of White Lake football. Larry celebrated 50 years of sobriety and was extremely proud of that.
Larry enjoyed dancing, shuffleboard, bowling, golf, camping and going to the coffee shop with the guys at the White Lake Senior Center. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and an occasional garage sale. Above all else the most important things in Larry's life were God and his family. He was a strong-willed, loyal, proud, thrifty, loving family oriented man. He will be deeply, deeply missed.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Rick (Pam) McLouth, Scot (Eva Lopez) McLouth, Pam (Don) Schneider, Lori (Ron Snow) Lux, Ann Marie (Rob) Nichols, Tina (Dan) Froelich, Steven (Peggy Sue) Raaymakers, Jean (Chuck) Michaud, Margaret (Phillip) Arends, Kathy Raaymakers; 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Michelle) McLouth; sister, Mary (Jerry) Hamann; son-in-law Doyle Warner, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Warner; his parents; and 7 siblings.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Montague United Methodist Church 8555 Cook St., Montague. The family will receive guests from 10:00AM until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the White Lake Senior Center or Montague United Methodist Church.
