Mrs. Rita C. Robbins, age 88 of Hart, died Sunday, November 22, 2009. She was born June 9, 1921 in Fountain, Michigan to Steve and Elizabeth (Birkman) Kokx. In 1938 at Hart, she married Ernest D. Robbins. Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker and member of the Oceana Eagles Auxiliary and was a 4-H leader. Her interests included sewing, knitting, crochet, puzzles, vegetable and flower gardening, playing cribbage, bowling at the Oceana Eagles, catering, going to auctions and yard sales. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Darrell) Whitaker of North Muskegon, Linda (Charles) Thrailkill, Jr. of Hart; three sons, Dale Robbins of Pentwater, Ronald (Lorena) Robbins of Hart, Louis (Sharon) Robbins of Rothbury; 25 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; brother, Harry (Phyllis) Kokx of Hart; 2 sisters, Teresa (Harold) Shafer of Muskegon, Celia Hock of Greenville, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest D. Robbins on August 10, 1993, daughter, Judy Robbins, grandson, Corrie Robbins, grandson, Todd Robbins, great grandchildren, Jeremy Brown and Marleigh Riggs, 2 brothers, Richard and Nicolaus Kokx, daughter in law, Anne Robbins. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Robbins will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Rickard officiating. Interment will be in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimers Association or Harbor Hospice.
