Obituary

Robert "Bud" Earl Dalbke, 90, of Montague, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at home. He was born February 14, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Charles and Lorraine (Dettmer) Dalbke.

Bud proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and was stationed in Korea, a part of the Frozen Chosin. He continued to serve his community with the Chicago Police Department for 29 years, retiring as a Sergeant. Besides his career, Bud enjoyed horses and fishing.

Bud is survived by: his siblings, Gail Clements, Jill (Steve) Olson, and Thomas Dalbke; sister-in-law, Ilse Deininger of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In 1957, in Chicago, Bud married Ingeborg (Rottler) Dalbke, and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ken Dalbke; and sisters, Lois Bodach and Gloria Bacsi.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461. Visitation will be held Monday, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Flower Creek Cemetery, Montague.
