Robert Edwin Hansen, 96, of Norton Shores, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2018. Robert was born on May 29, 1921 to Hans and Helen (Sweet) Hansen

Robert married the former Doris Williams in 1941. Together they were blessed with 5 children, and 67 years of marriage until her death in 2008. Robert was a member of Calvary Church in Muskegon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dog training, reading, camping, boating, singing and a good cheesy joke. First and foremost though was always God and his family. He was a fun, out-going, caring, friendly, man of God. He will be deeply missed

Robert is survived by his children; Priscilla (Bill) Anderson, Dianne Yeakey, Kathryn Murawski, James E. Hansen and Thomas (Jerrie) Hansen; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris; his parents; and sisters, Viola Dykstra and Dorothy Hansen.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, January 25, 2017 at Calvary Church, 1070 Quarterline Rd. Muskegon, MI 49442. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start on the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Church or the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
