Obituary

Robert "Bob" W. Perry, age 85 of Traverse City, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.  Bob was born on January 9, 1936 in Detroit, MI, the son of Farrand and Sophie (Wielkapolanian) Perry.  He was raised in the Detroit/Livonia area and graduated from Bentley High School.

Bob was a firefighter in Plymouth, MI, for a number of years, and moved up to Traverse City in 1974.  Once established in the area, he and his wife were a team that together built and sold many homes.  He enjoyed boating, loved their animals, and of course, sipping a cold beer.

He is survived by his children, Bob Jr. (Diana), Randy (Jane), Rick (Teresa) Perry, Ron (Marla) Piluras, Rose Matthews, and Alex (Beth) Piluras.  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, in which Lexi is in Heaven; 26 great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and a sister, Barbara Perry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m.  Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel.  Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 2:00 PM and continue after the service until 6:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory may be made to the Cherryland Humane Society.
