Obituary

Robert K. Youngstrom, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the Toni and Trish Home in Auburn. Robert was born November 3, 1927, in Blue island, Illinois, to the late Axel and Dagmar Youngstrom.

Robert enjoyed woodworking, drawing, going for car rides, he was a jack of all trades and had a great sense of humor. He was part of the greatest generation and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in World War II.

Robert is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Rose Youngstrom; son, David (Michelle) Youngstrom; three grandchildren, Ashley Joyce, Andrew Robert and Abagail Rose; brothers, Roy Youngstrom and Tom (Nancy) Youngstrom; sister-in-laws, Josie Youngstrom, Kelli Youngstrom and Alice Buchnius; nine nieces and nephews, Mike Youngstrom, Patricia Youngstrom Ramthun, Carl Youngstrom, Steve Youngstrom, Joan Gerwig, Scott Youngstrom, John Youngstrom, Monica DuMont and Brad Youngstrom.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his three brothers, Howard Youngstrom, Clifford Youngstrom and Ervin Youngstrom.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to, the Toni and Trish Home, McLaren Bay Region, Bay Special Care and Bay Shores Nursing Home for their care and compassion.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Hart Cemetery, intersection of W Tyler Rd and N 72nd Ave, Hart.
