Rodger Gardy, 83, of Mears, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born September 11, 1940, in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, the son of Grant E. Gardy and Emma (King) Paulding.

Rodger was a wonderful husband; loving, caring, and devoted father; incredible and doting grandfather; and an amazing friend. His kindness and generous soul endeared him to so many that treasured him.

Rodger is survived by: his daughter, Kimberly (Joe); son, Rodger Lee Jr. (Katy); nephews, Kenneth (Lee), and Nicholas; niece, Jessica; and grandchildren, Emma Mae, Will, and Tommy.

Rodger was preceded in death by: his wife, Joy A. Gardy; parents, Grant E. Gardy and Emma (King) Paulding; step-father, Henry Paulding; brothers, Grant "Bud" E. Gardy Jr. and Robert Gardy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oceana County Council on Aging, 4250 W. Tyler Road, Hart, MI 49420. The family asks that you please leave a memo upon donation: In memory of Rodger Gardy.

In accordance with Rodger's wishes, cremation has taken place and funeral services will be conducted privately at a later date.
