Ronald Edward Backus Sr., 81, of Branch, died Saturday, November 3, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born November 26, 1936, in Buchanan, Michigan, the son of Edward and Dreyda (Pufall) Backus.

Ron is survived by: his wife, Linda Backus; his son, Ronald (Tracy Lollar) Backus Jr.; his brother, Leo Backus; 3 step-children, Shelly, Susie and Tommy; and numerous grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by: his first wife, Delores; and his son, Donald Lee Backus.

A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at 1:00 PM, December 2, 2018, at the Amvets Post 1988, 1959 West 24th Street, Baldwin.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
