Ronald Lee Berkenpas, 70, of Montague, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was born September 25, 1952, the son of Ray and Lois (Terpstra) Berkenpas.

On August 30, 1993, Ronald married Fran (Zaverl) and they have spent nearly 30 loving years together.

Ronald enjoyed playing golf, going to the movies, watching car races, and being a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He especially enjoyed his time with his good friend, Lynwood, traveling to watch the Detroit Tigers play on the field.

Ronald is survived by: his father, Ray (Margaret) Berkenpas; wife, Fran Berkenpas; children, Jeff Berkenpas, Tracy Hunt, and Tara Berkenpas; grandchildren, Taylor, Journey, Aj, Dylan, Aaron, Justice, and Kyla; sisters, Linda (John) Haveman and Tami (Steve) Grooters; brother, Bruce (Jan) Berkenpas; and special Pomeranian, Gizmo.

Ronald was preceded in death by: his mother, Lois (Terpstra) Berkenpas; and infant sister, Pamela.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday, April 4 2023, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, Michigan 49461.
