Known to some as "The Claw," Ron was famous for his spirited sense of humor and loyal support for his friends and family. He loved laughter, spicy chicken wings, rock music that makes you dance, perfectly legal stimulants that may also make you dance, and, of course, a good-natured heckle.
Ron also loved to travel. He lived with his family in Tucson, Arizona for 20 years and traveled across the country and Mexico with his wife during retirement.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and his dear siblings, Judi (Landis) Slocum, Roland Landis, Forrest Landis Sr., and Patrick J. Landis.
He is survived by: his wife, the love of his life, Kathleen Gonzalez-Landis; their children, Zach and Kayla; his daughter, Summer (Landis) Limbo; grandchildren, Ava, Pierce and Garrett; and a host of lifelong friends, including his blood brothers, Johnny "One-Foot" Fahner-Vihtelic, Dennis "Dino" Hayes, and Paul "PBR" Putney.
Cremation will take place and a graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Oakhurst Cemetery in Whitehall. A celebration of Ron's life will follow at 1:00 PM at The White Lake Eagles, 1204 S. Lake Street, Whitehall.
