Ronald Lawrence Oomen, 69, of Fountain, passed away on March 19, 2019, after a battle with Lung Cancer, at his home. Ronald was born on August 24, 1949, the son of Lawrence and Coral (Feister) Oomen.
Ron was born in Hart, where he graduated from Hart High School in 1967. He lived in the area for a time after, and then moved to Mason County with his family where he spent his time doing the things he enjoyed. Aside from spending time with is four children and his many friends, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all he greatly enjoyed his farming. He was at his happiest then; he always had many stories and memories to share. He was an over the road truck driver and visited many places. He got to see a lot of states over the years. After his retirement he enjoyed spending his free time hauling animals to the livestock sales and giving a hand to all his farmer friends.
Ronald is survived by: his children, Richard Oomen, Jennifer (Joe) Mickevich, Curtis Oomen, and Kathy (Chad) Troost; grandchildren, Ryann, Joey, Kaitlyn, Michael and Faith; siblings, Douglas (Mary) Oomen, Robert (Linda) Oomen and Laura (Mike) Blackmer.
Ronald was preceded in death by: his parents, Lawrence and Coral; and sister, Marsha Parsons.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 12:00 PM at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 N 72 nd Ave, Hart. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 6-8 PM, and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Please join the luncheon following the service to share stories and happy times. That was Ron's one request, for it to be a happy time celebrating his life at the funeral home.
