Mr. Ronald Dwight Rittenhouse, age 84, of Walkerville, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013. He was born June 15, 1929, in Hart to Ora and Vida (Haase) Rittenhouse. He served in the Army from 1947 to 1951. He married Wanda L. Kirby in June 1955 and she preceded him in death on December 26, 1992. He was employed at Lambrix Roofing. In 1978 he earned his high school GED. Mr. Rittenhouse enjoyed hunting, mushrooming, and playing pool.

Ronald is survived by his children, Rhonda Storms of Walkerville, Robert (Lauri) Rittenhouse of New Era, and Mark (Meagan) Rittenhouse of Boyne City; three sisters, Myrna (Steve) Smith of Walkerville, Dolores (Clarence) Johnson of Dalton, and Janet (James) O'Brien of Irons; one brother, Kurt (Ellen) Rittenhouse of Ludington; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, his sister, Donna Stanfield; and two brothers, Keith and Royce Rittenhouse.

A Gathering of Family and Friends to remember Mr. Rittenhouse will be Friday, July 12, 2013, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the home of Robert Rittenhouse, 2615 Third Street in New Era. The family requests that any memorials be directed to the King Funeral Home for funeral home expenses.
