IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald John
Stratil
March 20, 1943 – April 10, 2025
Ronald John Stratil, 82, of Hesperia, finished his race upon this Earth, strong in his Faith, and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on April 10, 2025. Ronald was born March 20, 1943, in Muskegon, to John and Donna (Houston) Stratil.
A lifelong resident of Hesperia, he married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Ann Wright, on June 15, 1963. Ronald enjoyed baseball, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs, hockey and ice fishing. In his free time, he also liked spending time tinkering in his garage.
In the years following their marriage, Ron worked several places, but most enjoyed his days owning Birch Crick Party Store in Hesperia, where he made many life-long friends, and was also a proud member of the Hesperia American Legion. Ronald was a devoted Christian and lived his life by the values he read in his beloved and well used Bible.
Ronald is survived by: his beautiful wife of 61 years, Pamela; his daughters, Joni (Carl) Erlewein and their daughter Olivia, and Juli (Alan) Payne and their children Makayla, Jacob, Nathan and Alyanna Payne; and brother-in-law, Fred Scheffler. He also leaves behind a special part of his family, Pastor Danne and Brenda Hren.
Ronald was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Donna; very special father and mother-in-law, Vern and Ruby (Smith) Wright; his sister, Joyce Scheffler; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Katherine Stratil; and special friend, Charles Hunt.
At Ronald's request cremation has taken place and there will not be a service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Newaygo County Compassion Home, 20 South Stewart Avenue, Fremont, MI 49412, or to Corewell Health Hospice, https://give.corewellhealth.org/hospice-donation.
