Ruben G. Gonzalez, age 72, of Walkerville and formerly of Muskegon, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010. He was born July 16, 1938 in Fruitport, Michigan, the son of Loreto and Concepcion Gonzalez. He married Elvira Oliva on September 22, 1956 in Muskegon. Mr. Gonzalez retired from Campbell Wyant and Cannon following twenty-three years of service.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by five children, Rosemary McClung, Ruben Gonzalez, Jr., Ricky Gonzalez, and Raymond Gonzalez all of Muskegon and Rene Gonzalez of Walkerville; four sisters, Brigida G. De Los Santos, Maria G. Anzaldua, Felicatas Osornio of Texas and Elida Villareal of Muskegon; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elvira and three brothers, Geronimo Gonzalez, Jose A. Gonzalez, Arturo Gonzalez.

The memorial service for Mr. Gonzalez will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010, 2 pm at the Oak Crest Church of God, 1540 Leonard in Muskegon.
