Ruth Vivian Cady, 93, of Traverse City, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.

She was a wife, homemaker, and mother.  Ruth was born on April 5, 1928.  In 1948, she married Richard Cady, and together they shared their lives together until his passing.

She was a very giving person, and loved making quilts, and doing stuff around the house.  She retired from Munson Hospital where she was employed in the housekeeping department in the OB ward.

She was a loving mother and great friend to many.

She is survived by one son, Carroll (Terrie Jo) Cody; four grandkids, nine great-grandkids; and one sister, Vera VanBroklin.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, and four children, Garry, Patty, Randy and Edward.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Monday, August 30, 2021, at Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel.
