Ruth Johanna Hart of Traverse City, MI, formerly of Flushing MI, passed away peacefully the morning of September 25, 2023, while in hospice care.  With her daughter by her side, the cardinals came to visit and to bring her home to her heavenly family.

Ruth was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 29, 1933. Her parents moved to the Flint area and she graduated from Flint Tech HS. She worked for IBM, the Flint Board of Education, and General Motors-AC Spark Plug Division.

Ruth enjoyed traveling with her husband, Tom, and they would spend many weeks in Florida, Alabama, and Arizona in their retirement years. She spent the last 32 years living in Traverse City.

Ruth's love for her family, children, grandchildren, sisters Miriam and Kathy, and brother Paul were all a big part of her daily communications along with cousins Debbie Matthews and James Martin.

Ruth loved spending time with her four grandchildren and the various events of their lives.  She was a huge sports fan and loved to give the referees the business.  She attended every sporting event possible.

Ruth is survived by her loving family, daughter Renee' Pietrangelo (Anthony), grandsons Anthony and Vincent, Son John Hart (Patricia), grandchildren Madison and Riley, sisters Miriam Martin and Kathleen Piotraczk (Robert), and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her Husband Thomas, son Thomas II (aka TH), Father Alexander Martin and Mother Johanna Price (Veller), Brother Paul Martin, In-laws John and Bessie Hart, Robert and Joyce (Hart) Doll & William Hart.

The Family has chosen to do a celebration of life in the spring 2024 in Traverse City.  The details will be released at a later date.  Ruth has been reunited with her husband Thomas, the love of her life so they can be together forever.  Gram Ruth touched so many lives and was loved by all. One of her favorite sayings "I LOVE YOU MORE.''
